CHICAGO — The Chicago Bulls acquired center Martynas Andriuskevicius Friday in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers for guard Eddie Basden.
Andriuskevicius, 20, played just nine minutes in six games for Cleveland, spending most of the season in the NBA’s Developmental League.
John Paxson, the Bulls general manager, said the team recognizes that the 7-foot-2 Lithuanian is still a raw talent, but has the potential to succeed in the NBA.
“We are always looking for size and skill, and feel he is a young player that we are willing to take a strong look at,’’ Paxson said in a statement.
In one year with the Bulls, Basden, 23, played in 19 games, averaging 2.1 points and 1.5 rebounds.
