PEORIA - Jonathan Mota had a run-scoring double in the ninth inning to give the Peoria Chiefs a 3-2 win over the Clinton LumberKings, snapping a six-game losing streak Saturday night in front of a sellout crowd of 7,660 at O'Brien Field.

The Chiefs' win clinched the Midwest League's Western Division for the Beloit Snappers for the first half of the schedule.

Miguel Cuevas pitched five strong innings and allowed just one run on four hits while striking out six but did not factor in the decision. Brad Clipp pitched the final four innings and allowed just one run to pick up his first win.
