Normal Community High School handed out its fall sports awards and varsity letters on Monday.
Shannon Cobb was named the most valuable player for the Class 6A state runner-up football team while Dan Frantz earned the sportsmanship award in football.

Alyssa Trimpe was the MVP in volleyball. Other MVPs were Erin Bradley (girls golf), Carrie Larson (girls tennis), Chris Zook and Jared Starnes (boys cross country), Olivia Myers (girls cross country) and Lissa Tommerdahl (swimming).
Other sportsmanship award honorees were Ben Dolk (boys golf), Allison Schultz (girls golf), Paul Ostrosky (boys soccer), Kathy Grimes (swimming), Ali Wulfers (girls tennis), Tyler Pinter (boys cross country), Natasha House (girls cross country) and Jenny Sandel (volleyball).
