Lexington grad named Midwest's offensive player of year

Lexington High School graduate Alex Tanney has been named the Midwest Conference's offensive player of the year.

The Monmouth College quarterback led the Scots to a league title and undefeated regular season, throwing for a school-record 47 touchdowns and setting the school record with 3,311 yards. The sophomore holds the school record for completions with 519.
