3. Kentucky (2): Bounced back from Tennessee loss.

4. Ohio State (9): This team can’t wait for postseason.

5. Duke (6): Kyle Sigler needs to step up in NCAA.

6. New Mexico (8): Darington Hobson not household name.

7. West Virginia (10): Butler snaps out of shooting slump.

8. Villanova (7): Slipping some late in season.

9. Purdue (3): Not same team without Hummel.

10. Kansas State (5): Can’t get past Jayhawks just yet.

11. Butler (11): Gordon Hayward top player in Horizon.

12. Vanderbilt (14): Proven it can win on the road.

13. Michigan State (17): Don’t count out Spartans yet.

14. Brigham Young (13): Home streak snapped by Lobos.

15. Temple (16): Doesn’t need to win A-10 tourney this year.

16. Pitt (15): Gilbert Brown best sixth man in nation.

17. Tennessee (23): Vols’ defense sinks Kentucky.

18. Georgetown (12): Freeman’s diabetes tough situation.

19. Gonzaga (19): Will Oregon try to snag Mark Few?

20. Wisconsin (20): Could gain revenge against Illini twice.

21. Maryland (25): Showed a lot in beating Duke.
