ELMHURST — In its first game without injured leading scorer Gabrielle Holness, the Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team couldn't find its shooting rhythm in an 86-61 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin loss at Elmhurst on Saturday.

IWU (8-10, 2-5) saw its 18-game winning streak against Elmhurst (10-8, 3-4) snapped, with the last loss to the Bluejays coming in the 2005-06 season.

The Titans were within 41-35 at halftime, but lost the second half, 45-26.

"We started out okay and then kind of fizzled," said IWU coach Mia Smith. "I thought our bench played really well, but in the second half we gave up too many easy baskets."

Freshman Molly McGraw led the Titans with 18 points while Samantha Ellsworth added 12. Kaitlyn O'Boye sank two 3-pointers en route to a career-high eight points.

Elmhurst led by as many as 25 with 5:22 left.

The Titans shot 38.5 percent at the line (5 of 13), 18.2 percent from 3-point range (2 of 11) and 40.3 percent from the field (27 of 67).

Fiona McMahon led Elmhurst with 24 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Mikaela Eppard added 18 points and eight rebounds as the Bluejays shot 56.4 percent from the field. Kailia Summerlin chipped in 12 points.
