CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Illinois State women's basketball team continues its quest for the first win of the season Sunday when it visits Northern Iowa in a 2:05 p.m. Missouri Valley Conference contest.

The Redbirds (0-13, 0-2) are coming off an 86-51 loss to Drake that saw the Bulldogs shoot 57 percent from the field. Sue Crump led ISU with 12 points, making all six of her free throws.

Northern Iowa (7-7, 3-0) is coming off a 79-70 victory over Southern Illinois as Madison Weekly scored a career-high 27 points to go along with six rebounds.

ISU coach Barb Smith went with a different starting lineup against Drake for the first time in seven games with regular starters Crump, Stekara Hall and Katy Winge joined by Colleene Smith and Mary Sims.

ISU's losing streak ties the longest in program history at 13 games. The Redbirds went winless from Dec. 30 through Feb. 13 in the 1998-99 season.
