DECATUR - Illinois Wesleyan's women's basketball team saw a nine-point halftime lead slip away Wednesday night in an 85-80 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin loss to Millikin.
The Titans (6-9, 0-4) lost their sixth straight game, the longest skid since the 1991-92 team lost eight in a row.
Kasey Reaber had 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for IWU, which led 45-36 at the half and by 11 points in the second half.
"We blew it again. There's no other way to say it," IWU coach Mia Smith said. "I think it was a combination of our offensive turnovers and then defensively we weren't forcing turnovers in our run and jump.
"They kept getting the ball to the same player every time and they were getting it too deep. It made easy for them to score."
Gabrielle Holness added 22 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Titans, who were outrebounded 48-26. Molly McGraw chipped in 14 points.
Millikin (11-4, 2-2) received 18 points from Hannah Millington, 17 from Kelsey Going and 10 from PBL graduate Yip Ypya. Normal West grad Rachael Weber had nine points and six rebounds for the Big Blue.
