Illinois State Athletics, with assistance of Menold Construction and Restoration, will have a food drive Saturday in conjunction with the home men's basketball game against Bradley and the pregame Taste of Redbirds.
Attendees to both events are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate to the Midwest Food Bank, which helps fight hunger throughout central Illinois and beyond.
Each family that donates will receive one complimentary food ticket to use at the Taste of Redbirds, which runs from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Horton Field House. Those not attending the Taste can contribute by dropping nonperishable items in collection boxes inside the main entrances to Redbird Arena. The basketball game tips off at 7 p.m.
SIU game to be at 1 p.m.: CBS has selected the Illinois State at Southern Illinois men’s basketball game for distribution on CBS Sports Network on March 2 with a 1 p.m. tipoff. the game had been listed as TBD on the Missouri Valley Conference schedule.

Women's basketball falls Samantha Sarnes had a team-high 16 points for the Eureka College women's basketball team in a 66-55 SLIAC home loss to Greenville. Josie Morgan added 13 and Olivia Falls 12 for Eureka (11-11).
