Lejman, IWU women’s golf in second; men 13th

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Junior Sarah Lejman and the IWU women’s golf team are both in second place after Friday’s first round of the Jekyll Island Women’s Collegiate.

Lejman carded a 5-over-par 77, just two shots behind Victoria Seenath of Seminole State. The Titans posted a team score of 324 and trail leader Methodist University by nine strokes heading into today’s second round.

The Titans men’s golf team is tied for 13th place after the first round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.

IWU shot a team score of 304, 17 shots behind first-place Methodist University. Doug Keller fired a 1-over-par 73, good for a tie for 15th place. Skidmore College’s Chris DeJohn leads medal play after a 5-under-par 67.
