AUBURNDALE, Fla -- A two-run home run by Zach Amrein in the top of the first gave the Illinois State baseball team a quick start on offense and Ryan Camp scattered four hits in a 7-3 win over Western Michigan in the RussMatt Invitational in Auburndale, Fla. on Monday.
Kevin Tokarski had three hits and two RBI while Evan Kohli homered and drove in a pair for the Redbirds (4-3) who pounded out 12 hits.
Camp (1-1) went seven innings, striking out six, before giving way to Brad Sorkin who worked the last two innings to close out the Broncos (0-4).
