Softball falls: A pitchers' duel between ISU's Sarah Finck and Florida Atlantic's Tatum Buckley ended when a seventh-inning error gave the Owls a 2-1 victory at Boca Raton, Fla.

Sims sixth for women's golfers: Sophomore Caitlin Sims shot a 1-over 72 in the final round to finish in sixth place in the 10-team Bradley Spring Break Invitational at Farmers Branch, Texas.
Sims finished at 225 over three rounds on the 5,921-yard layout. The Redbirds posted a 303 team total in the final round and finished seventh at 928.
Baseball falls in marathon: The IWU baseball team surrendered a run in the 14th inning in suffering a 4-3 loss to Ramapo in the RussMat Invitational Tournament at Auburndale, Fla.
Nick Figus, Jake Stewart, Tim Smyk and Gino Cavaliero all had two hits for the Titans (6-2). Reliever Louis Acklin (1-1) absorbed the loss.
Softball splits: The top two hitters in the Titans' lineup drove in four runs on six hits and pitcher Brea Walker went the distance as IWU notched a 5-1 afternoon win over Marietta College in the Rebel Spring Games at Kissimmee, Fla.
Jillian Runyon and Summer Stitt each went 3-for-4 with two RBIs in the win, with Runyon and Stephanie Prentice each scoring twice as the Titans plated two in the fifth and three in the sixth. Walker scattered three hits and four walks while striking out five.
In their second game, the Titans (5-1) could not overcome a nine-run third inning and suffered a 12-10 loss to No. 12-ranked Trine (10-0).
Julie Josten led the IWU offense with four hits and six RBIs, while Runyon remained hot by going 4-for-4 with four runs scored. Taylor Marvin (2-1) took the loss in relief.
Softball pair honored: Before the games, Runyon and Marvin were named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Softball Players of the Week.
Runyon, a sophomore outfielder from Tremont, batted .417 (5-for-12) with six runs, three triples, two RBI, one walk and three stolen bases. Marvin, a sophomore pitcher, was 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA in three appearances.
McGraw, Ehresman earn all-Region: Illinois Wesleyan junior guard Molly McGraw was named to the second team and junior guard Rebekah Ehresman to the third team of the all-Central Region women's basketball squads selected by D3hoops.com.
McGraw led the Titans (18-10) with a 16.9 scoring average and her 474 points is sixth most in an IWU single season. McGraw has 1,177 career points, No. 12 all-time at IWU. Ehresman averaged 12.5 points and led the team with 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
