Illinois State is organizing a fan bus for those wishing to attend the Redbirds’ quarterfinal football playoff game at Youngstown State at 5 p.m. Saturday.
The bus will depart the ISU campus lot G-73 at 5 a.m. Saturday for the trip to Youngstown, Ohio. Overnight accommodations are at the Sleep Inn in Austintown, Ohio. The bus leaves the hotel at 7 a.m. Sunday for the trip to Normal. The cost of the package is $14 for each game ticket, $75 for transportation and $75 for hotel.
Reservations may be made online at www.alumni.ilstu.edu/football or by contacting Julie Barnhill at (309) 438-8790 or by e-mail at email@example.com. Deadline to register is noon Thursday. The trip is open to the first 55 who register, while the minimum number is 35.
Those traveling to Youngstown State can attend a free reception hosted by ISU President Al Bowman and athletics director Sheahon Zenger from 4 to 5:30 p.m. EST Saturday at Youngstown State’s Kilcawley Center Schwebell Reception Lounge.
Also, those staying home can gather to watch the game on three big-screen televisions at ISU’s Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom. Admission is free and there will be activities for children. Concessions and a cash bar will be available. Doors open at 4 p.m.
