BLOOMINGTON — The Illinois Wesleyan softball team will host College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rival Carthage in the NCAA Division-III Super Regional on Friday and Saturday at IWU Field, it was announced Sunday night.

Game times will be announced on Monday.

The Titans defeated Carthage three of four games this season, including twice in the CCIW tournament earlier this month.

Carthage (29-14) advanced to the Super Regional round after sweeping three games in the Wisconsin-Whitewater Regional, including a pair of wins over the host Warhawks.

IWU (36-7) also swept its first-round regional with ace hurler Ally Wiegand being named the regional's Most Outstanding Player. Mia Massaro, Sam Berghoff and Shelby Fulk also were named to the all-tourney team.
