Softball
Lyndi Araujo shut out LaSalle-Peru on four hits while striking out 13 without a walk in a 2-0 Streator victory.
Kelli Humbert pitched a three-hitter and also had two hits and two RBI in Dwight’s 3-0 win at Wilmington.
Kaylee West pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts, while Kelsey Wilson had a single, double and two RBI in Olympia’s 7-0 win over Mahomet-Seymour at Stanford.
Baseball
Matt Phillips scattered five hits over seven innings, striking out four and not allowing a walk, to lead Lincoln past Jacksonville, 2-1, in a Central State Eight Conference game at Lincoln.
Brock Jones had a home run and a double and drove in both runs for the Chiefs, but Deer Creek-Mackinaw fell 4-2 at Princeville. Ben Vetter allowed no earned runs on five hits while striking out five for Dee-Mack.
