BLOOMINGTON -–;Sparking Illinois Wesleyan to a pair of tense College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin basketball victories last week has earned Titans' senior point guard Adam Dauksas the CCIW's Player of the Week award. It was announced Monday.

Dauksas had 14 points and seven assists in IWU's 91-88 victory at North Central last Wednesday and followed that with 29 points and six assists in an 88-87 overtime victory over Elmhurst Saturday at Shirk Center.

Dauksas hit a 3-pointer at the regulation buzzer to send the Elmhurst game to overtime, and his assist led to Chris Jones' winning–;basket with two seconds left in overtime.

In the two games, Dauksas was 7 of 13 from 3-point range and committed just two turnovers.

Titans up to No. 7

IWU moved up one spot to No. 7 in Monday's edition of the d3hoops national rankings for Division III basketball.

The Titans are 17-3 and meet Millikin Wednesday in a 7:30 p.m. game at Shirk Center.

Wooster (20-1) took over the top spot after defeating Wittenberg (19-2) last week. Wittenberg dropped from–;first to sixth.

Lawrence (19-0) is second with Augustana (20-1) up two spots to third, Hope (20-1) fourth and Baldwin-Wallace (19-2) fifth.

A loss to Wesleyan contributed to North Central (16-4) dropping from 14th to 15th.
