Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville captured his third Summernationals feature win in six races Wednesday at Highland Speedway. The grueling series moved to Morgan County Speedway in Jacksonville Thursday night.

Randy Korte of Highland has two feature wins, and Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., took the checkered flag in the other feature. Other top national drivers on the circuit are Don O'Neal of Martinsville, Ind., Rodney Melvin of Benton and 2006 Summernationals points runner-up Jeep VanWormer of Pinconning, Mich.

Drivers with area connections who been running the 28-race, 30-day Summernationals circuit full-time include Wes Steidinger of Fairbury. Steve Sheppard Jr. of New Berlin and Kevin Weaver of Gibson City.

Two-time defending Summernationals series champion Shannon Babb of Moweaqua is running full-time in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.

Tonight's event at Farmer City will pay $10,000 to win. The gates will open at 3 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and qualifying at 7. Tickets are $20. The Summernationals will visit Lincoln Speedway Sunday.
