Blackburn College used 16 three-point field goals and a 60-point second half to rough up Eureka College 91-63 in a nonconference game at Carlinville.
Eureka College (2-4) trailed only 31-26 at halftime but was unable to mount a comeback as Blackburn (2-4) shot 64 percent from the floor in the second half, including a 12-for-16 performance from 3-point range.
Blackburn's Luka Djedovic scored a game-high 26 points, including four 3-pointers while Jake McWhorter chimed in with 20 points on 6-for-6 shooting beyond the arc.
Eureka College was led by Clint Rabbe with 15 points while Mike Trotter added 14 points for the Red Devils.
Eureka College women roll past Blackburn
Four players scored in double figures to lead the host Red Devils past Blackburn 67-46 in the Eureka College Classic at Eureka.
Sophomore forward Nicole Fisher finished the game with 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Red Devils. Fisher was selected to the All-Classic team after putting in 31 points and 24 rebounds in two games.
Eureka College (4-2) held Blackburn to only 15 first-half points and outscored its opponent 28-18 in the paint.
