A superior first-half shooting effort pushed the Eureka College women's basketball team past Milwaukee School of Engineering 62-49 on a night Molly Hardesty made history.

The senior guard dished out five assists, which was enough to break the school career assist record of 356.

Sarah Deakin's 17 points and seven rebounds led the Red Devils (8-2). Deakin went 8-for-11 from the field. Brittany Gardner came off the bench for Eureka College and hit four 3-pointers to finish with 13 points.

Catherine Chappell led all scorers with 20 points and also grabbed eight boards for MSOE. The visiting Raiders (1-8), allowed Eureka College to score 28 points off of 25 turnovers.

Lincoln Christian 68, Maranatha Baptist Bible 49

Lincoln Christian's Katie Geisler and Jessica Fender each scored 14 points as the Angels upended Maranatha Baptist Bible at Lincoln.

Geisler contributed 10 rebounds and Fender added five boards for the Angels (3-5).

Bobbie Larson pitched in 11 points and a team-high six assists, while Jessica Blythe scored 10. Maranatha was led by Rose Peterson's game-high 18 points, though she shot just 4-12 from the field.

The Angels took the lead at the 11-minute mark in the first half and never trailed again.

LCC had 15 team assists, to just eight for Maranatha (2-6).
