For the fourth straight year, Flanagan High School has earned the No. 1 seed for the McLean County Girls Basketball Tournament scheduled for Jan. 16-21 at Lexington High School and Illinois Wesleyan's Shirk Center.

The Falcons (14-2), who finished third in last year's tourney, beat No. 2-seeded Ridgeview (13-5) recently in a possible preview of the championship game.

LeRoy (13-2), which lost 50-45 to Ridgeview earlier in the season, is seeded third, and El Paso-Gridley (10-3) is fourth.

In first-round games Jan. 16 at Lexington, the host Minutemen (No. 8 seed) will play Heyworth (9), El Paso-Gridley will take on Tri-Valley (5), LeRoy will meet Deer Creek-Mackinaw (6) and GCMS (7) will vie with Blue Ridge (10).

The third-place and championship games will be played Jan. 21 at Shirk Center.
