Three years ago, the Dallas Cowboys selected Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott with the 135th pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
Fast forward to 2019 and Prescott has led the Cowboys to a 22-16 record and two playoff appearances.
In a video shared by Oklahoma Football's Twitter account, Prescott shared an uplifting message to last season's Heisman winner Kyler Murray.
"Trust me, I know what it's like to be doubted," Prescott said in the video. "Remember though, doubt is a gift. It takes you to the next level. So what if they doubt you? They doubted me too."
Murray showed what he was capable of, throwing for 4,361 yards and 42 touchdowns and rushing for 1,001 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, but the questions about him as a draft prospect centered around his small frame and whether he wanted to play football or baseball.
ESPN's mock draft, projected Murray to be picked No. 1 overall by the Arizona Cardinals.
The world will see where Murray goes in the draft at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday.
