2000: Senior guard Adam Osborn knocked down 7 of 12 shots from the field, including 3 of 6 from 3-point range, to lead five Illinois Wesleyan players in double figures in a 94-86 victory over previously undefeated Washington University of St. Louis. Osborn also had five assists and three steals.

1990: Normal Community won its second straight Intercity Basketball Tournament title by defeating Bloomington 56-42. Phil Goben, who took only two shots in the first half, made three of five shots in the third quarter to score eight points and give NCHS the cushion it needed.

1980: There's something about Indiana Central that brings out the best in Illinois Wesleyan forward Greg Yess. Last year, he poured in 36 points against the Greyhounds. Last night, he pumped in a school and Fred Young Fieldhouse record 47 points as IWU earned a hard-fought 90-83 decision.

1955: Dick Doran hit a basket with nine seconds remaining to give Fairbury a 58-56 uphill victory over University High. U High held an apparently safe 54-48 lead with 3:20 remaining when Fairbury started to roll. Doran led the Tartars with 21 points.
