1981 Mahomet-Seymour's Eric Skoog (145 pounds) and Doug Younger (132), Fairbury-Cropsey's Jim Farley (112) and Pontiac's Tom Lind (138) won Class A state wrestling championships before 10,256 fans at the Assembly Hall. El Paso's Joe Franzen (105) finished in second place.
