Behind the pitching of Matt Widick in game one and the hitting of Bryan Huff in game two, BNBA Game Time Gym Gold swept a doubleheader from Danville by scores of 6-2 and 12-4 on Tuesday from Danville.
Widick (1-0) allowed five hits and struck out five as Derek Dauenbaugh broke it open with a two-run single to highlight a five-run fifth inning. Riggins also had two RBI.
In the second game, Huff had four hits, including a triple, and was one of four Gold hitters to drive in two runs in the blowout.
Alex Buck doubled twice for the Gold (15-1).
Pekin 4, Lincoln 2
The defense for the Lincoln American Legion committed four errors during the final three innings, allowing Pekin to turn a 2-2 game into a 7-3 victory at Lincoln on Tuesday.
Paul Foley, who is a senior to be at Mt. Pulaski High School, was the victim. He suffered the loss in his first start of the season, allowing six walks and striking out three in 6 1/3 innings.
Just one of Pekin's seven runs was earned.
Jeremy Moore doubled and finished with two hits for Lincoln (4-2).
