NCHS routs MacArthur: A two-run home run by Matt Burns in the third inning and a solo shot by Kyle Rutledge in the fourth helped Normal Community High School’s baseball team to a 15-1 win in six innings over Decatur MacArthur in a Big 12 Conference game Tuesday at Decatur

NCHS starter Eric Fight (3-2) struck out four in four innings while allowing one hit in earning the victory.

Morgan DePew had two hits to drive in three runs for NCHS (19-11, 9-2). Jordan Arjona and Joey Mailloux drove in two runs each for the Ironmen, who outhit MacArthur 12-3.

Hendrens lead U High: Jacob Hendren threw a complete-game four-hitter, striking out 10 without a walk, while brother Jared provided the offense with two hits and three RBIs as University High School claimed a 5-2 nonconference win over Morton at Normal.

Brandon Timm and Nick Paul chipped in two hits apiece for the Pioneers (17-12).
