PONTIAC — Sports Thread, a social media based self-promotion, communication and educational platform for youth, has scheduled an all-star basketball event on March 30 at Pontiac High School.

Some of the top high school players from Illinois and two from Missouri are listed as taking part in what is billed as "The Sports Thread All-American Game.” There will be a dunk contest at 1 p.m., a 3-point contest starting at 2 p.m. and two regulation games beginning at 3 p.m. Admission is $5.

Among the players listed on the Orange team are Kansas State recruit DaJuan Gordon of Class 4A third-place finisher Chicago Curie and Terry Williams of Class 2A state champion Chicago Orr. The Black team roster includes Rashaun Agee and Jordan Booker of Class 3A state runner-up Chicago Bogan.

Among those listed as members of the Celebrity Judge Panel are former NBA No. 1 draft pick Mark Aguirre, former Chicago Bulls star Bob Love, WBC light heavyweight boxing champion Montell Griffin and former University of Illinois star and NBA player Kenny Battle.
