Matt Chastain scored a game-high 24 points Tuesday for the LeRoy High School basketball team in a 71-64 victory over host Tremont, handing the Turks their first loss in Heart of Illinois Conference play.

Chastain led four players in double figures for the Panthers (10-4, 3-3), with Noah Perry, Teddy Harms and Brady Fritcher totaling 14, 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Dylan Beccue led Tremont (11-4, 5-1) with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Fieldcrest 42, Roanoke-Benson 39: Jackson Puetz totaled 19 with five 3-pointers as the Knights earned a nonconference victory at Minonk.

Grant Jochums added eight points and 10 rebounds for Fieldcrest, which saw a 25-18 halftime lead dwindle to 29-27 by the end of the third quarter.

Kyle Kolb led the Rockets with 13 points and eight boards, while Ryan Fehr contriubuted 10 points.

Tri-Valley 50, Flanagan-Cornell 51: Daniel Benedetto's 20 led three Vikings players in double figures in an HOIC victory at Flanagan. Will Dolk added 16 and Dreek Wegman notched 11 for Tri-Valley, which survived the hosts' 20-point fourth quarter.

Keegan Bertsche matched Benedetto's 20 for the Falcons (10-6, 5-3), who also got 12 from Brian Albertson.

EPG 58, GCMS 52: El Paso-Gridley scored the last seven points of the game to tip GCMS at El Paso. Joe Metz led the Titans with 15 points and nine rebounds with Michael Mounce also scoring 15 points. In the loss, Jake Barnes led the Falcons with 16 points while T.J. Roesch grabbed 10 rebounds.

Blue Ridge 74, Lexington 47: Isaac Trotter and Chase Zimmerman each scored 16 points to lead Blue Ridge over Lexington at Lexington. Ray McLeese led the Minutemen with 10 points.

Fisher 51, Dee-Mack 32: Grant Pointer hit three of his four 3s in the third quarter and finished with 18 points in leading the Bunnies to an HOIC win at Mackinaw. Trent Scheuermann topped the Chiefs with nine.
