Dallas Lee scored 20 points and Kaleb Marr added 19 Friday night as the Heyworth High School basketball team rallied for a 71-68 double-overtime win over Fieldcrest in a Heart of Illinois Conference thriller at Minonk.
Justin Witten chipped in 12 points for the league-leading Hornets (18-6, 11-1), who trailed 41-36 heading into the final quarter.
The teams managed just four points each in the first overtime before Heyworth hit five of six free throws in the second extra session to pull out the win.
Fieldcrest (14-11, 6-4) got a game-high 27 points from Jackson Puetz, while Drew Barth netted 18 of his 24 points after intermission.
LeRoy 71, Dee-Mack 44: Cole Pliura scored 16 points, Matt Chastain added 15 as host LeRoy (15-8, 6-5) cruised to a Heart of Illinois Conference win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw (4-18, 0-10). Nick Aupperle chipped in 14 points for the Panthers who hit 12 3-pointers.
Dee-Mack got a game-high 18 points from Austin Utley.
Fisher 52, Lexington 46: Nick Griffith had 15 points to pace Fisher to the HOIC victory at Lexington. Kyle Williams and Hayden Fiedler added 11 each for the Bunnies (7-16, 3-7).
Brad Surma scored 17 and Trevor Schumaker 12 for Lexington (1-23, 1-9).
