Austin Zielsdorf led four players in double figures as the Ridgeview High School boys basketball team pulled away in the second half to post a 65-59 Heart of Illinois Conference win over Fieldcrest at Colfax.
The Mustangs, ranked No. 5 in Class 2A, improved to 20-1 with an unblemished 8-0 mark in conference play while the Knights fell to 15-5, 5-2.
Zielsdorf scored 18 points to rally Ridgeview from a 30-25 halftime deficit to a 47-46 lead after three quarters. Tyler McCormick added 12, Luke Ward had 11 and Drew Jones 10 as the Mustangs outscored the Knights, 18-13, down the stretch.
Fieldcrest's Matthew Modro topped all scorers with 24 points while Jackson Puetz chipped in 17, including five 3-pointers.
LeRoy 52, EPG 37: Matt Chastain had 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead LeRoy to an HOIC victory over El Paso-Gridley at El Paso.
Teddy Harms contributed 13 points and six rebounds for the Panthers (14-7, 5-4). Joe Metz led the Titans (13-8, 5-3) with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Blue Ridge 72, Tri-City 46: Chase Zimmerman totaled 22 points and nine rebounds to pace the Knights in a nonconference win over Tr-City at Farmer City.
Isaac Trotter added 20 points and Lindi Balazi added 19 with six assists for Blue Ridge (7-14), which led 40-25 at halftime. Trever Martin topped Tri-City with 17.
GCMS 53, Dee-Mack 43: Tucker Cribbett and Mitchell McNutt combined for 32 points to lead GCMS past Deer Creek-Mackinaw in HOIC play at Gibson City. James Cribbett scored seven of his 16 points in the final quarter while James Fairfield added 10 points for the Falcons (12-9, 5-3).
Dee-Mack (7-13, 1-5) got 15 points from Blake Lelm and 12 from Preston Lester.
Tremont 66, Flanagan-Cornell 45: Tyler McDonald led all scorers with 19 points as Tremont (14-7, 7-2) cruised to an HOIC win over Flanagan-Cornell at Flanagan. Max Bolliger added 15 points and Dylan Beccue 12 for the Turks who led 16-11 after one quarter and 33-20 at the half.
Brian Albertson hit five 3-pointers en route to 19 points for Flanagan-Cornell (14-8, 6-4) which also got 10 points from Keegan Bertsche.
Fisher 58, Heyworth 44: Fisher used a balanced attack to post an HOIC win over Heyworth at Fisher. The Bunnies (13-9, 3-6) got 12 points from Connor Zook and 11 each from Zach Griffith, Jaden Jones-Watkins and Grant Pointer. Pointer scored all of his points in the third quarter as part of a 19-12 Fisher run.
Heyworth (3-16, 2-8) was led by Jacob Day with 12 points while Jeremy Wilton and Tate Eller each scored 10.
