Senior Bailey Coffman scored her 1,000th career point Wednesday night as Central Catholic High School's girls basketball team rolled to a 61-45 nonconference victory over LaSalle-Peru at LaSalle.
Coffman had 14 points to give her 1,007 in her career. She also led the Saints (5-3) with 10 rebounds and six blocked shots.
Lauren Shanks was Central's top scorer with 23 points to go with team-highs of seven steals and five assists.
U High 41, St. Thomas More 33: Chelsie Price scored 12 points to lead University High to the nonconference win at Normal. Grace Ward added 11 points as the Pioneers notched their first victory to improve to 1-7.
U High also received team highs of six rebounds, four assists and four steals from Chloe Ward. St. Thomas More fell to 0-7.
Dwight 44, Streator 40: Mel Stewart had 26 points, eight rebounds and seven steals to power Dwight in its nonconference comeback win at Streator. Kayla Kodat added 12 points and five steals for the Trojans (2-3).
