The Normal West High School girls basketball team improved to 5-0 with a 58-40 victory at Pontiac on Monday.
Averie Hernandez led the Wildcats with 14 points and eight rebounds. Olivia Demosthenes chipped in 13 points while Rosh Webb added 11 points and seven assists. Lindsey Hunt scored 17 points for the Indians.
Tri-Valley 49, El Paso-Gridley 47: Whitney Leipold sank a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 2.6 seconds left to lift Tri-Valley (2-4) over host EPG (0-3). The Titans had taken a 47-46 lead on a steal and basket by Jordyn Cannon with :17 to go.
Addison Ritchie led the Vikings with 17 points while Lily Young chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds. Addison Benedict paced EPG with 16 points. Cannon added 10 points and nine rebounds.
Fieldcrest 51, Heyworth 36: Fieldcrest remained unbeaten with the Heart of Illinois Conference win at Minonk. Alyx Carls had 12 points, while Hannah Baker and Ashlyn May added 10 for Fieldcrest (6-0, 1-0). Heyworth was topped by Shae Rupport with 12 and Lena Luebbering with 11.
Ridgeview 45, Blue Ridge 28: Kelly Jones had 16 points, 14 rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block for Ridgeview in a win at Colfax. Jaclyn Paerl led Blue Ridge (3-3) with 11 points.
Eureka 40, GCMS 28: Freshman Ellie Cahill scored 14 points to pace Eureka to the HOIC win at Gibson City. Senior Natalie Anderson added 13 for the Hornets (5-2, 2-0). GCMS was topped by Hannah Hathaway with 12 points.

Lexington 55, Fisher 36: Jayden Standish had 16 points and Layken McGuire 14 for Lexington in a win over visiting Fisher, which received 12 points from Sidney Hood.
Prairie Central 52, Ottawa Marquette 15: Elly Haberkorn scored 15 points to lead Prairie Central to victory over visiting Ottawa Marquette.
Dee-Mack 46, LeRoy 40: Shelby Debolt's 13 points led Deer Creek-Mackinaw to the HOIC win at LeRoy. Kyla Simmons added 11 points and Audrey Thomann 10. LeRoy was paced by Layna Spratt's 12 points.
Olympia 50, Roanoke-Benson 31: Abbi Bode poured in 27 points to lead Olympia to victory at Roanoke. The Rockets (3-4) received 16 points from Maddie Monge and 10 from Bailey Leman.
Streator 41, Manteno 23: Natali Haynes had 25 points and 21 rebounds for Streator in a home win.
Area trio named all-Illini Prairie 2nd team: Olympia placed senior setter Kaelyn Leverson and junior outside hitter Kaitlin Dean on the all-Illini Prairie Conference second team, which includes Prairie Central senior outside hitter Lindsey Hari.
Among seven Pantagraph area players earning honorable mention were Pontiac's Brooke Fox, Madi Mennenga, Lindsey Hunt and Cassidy Ringle, Central Catholic's Abby Cox and Sydney Adams and Prairie Central's Brianna Seeman.
