LeRoy High School's Nick Perry was 8 of 13 from 3-point range and scored a game-high 27 points Tuesday night, but the balanced scoring of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley prevailed as the Falcons downed LeRoy, 60-43, in a Heart of Illinois Conference contest at LeRoy.
Ryland Holt led GCMS with 20 points, while Bryce Barnes added 15. Connor Birky also reached double figures with 10 points for the Class 2A No. 3 state-ranked Falcons (25-2).
Tri-Valley 56, Fisher 34: Braden Zenor had a game-high 14 points to pace Tri-Valley to the Heart of Illinois win at Fisher. John Symanski added 11 points and Nolan Anderson eight for the Vikings, who led 25-8 at the half. Symanski scored nine points in the first quarter to stake Tri-Valley to a 15-5 lead.
Fisher was topped by Will Delaney's 13 points.
Deer Creek-Mackinaw 62, El Paso-Gridley 48: Levi Scheuermann buried four 3-pointers and scored 29 points while also grabbing six rebounds to lead the Chiefs to a Heart of Illinois win at El Paso. Dee-Mack (23-5, 10-1) made 15-of-17 free throws down the stretch to overcome a 44-42 deficit with 5:44 remaining in the game.
Noah Smith scored 19 points and Jack Weber added 13 points and 14 rebounds for EPG (20-8, 7-5).
Ridgeview 80, Iroquois West 44: Six-seven senior Ryan Parker had 23 points and five rebounds to lead Ridgeview to the nonconference win at Colfax. Nick Boyd added 15 points on five 3-pointers for Ridgeview (14-14) and Levi Zimmerman chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and three assists. The Mustangs shot 56 percent from the field to 36 percent for Iroquois West (4-23).
Flanagan-Cornell 36, Roanoke-Benson 34, OT: Karson Kimpling's 12 points paced Flanagan-Cornell to the narrow nonconference win at Roanoke. Jeremy Durdan added 11 for the Falcons. Roanoke-Benson (17-11) was led by Luke Braman with nine points. Jordan Huschen had seven points and 11 rebounds for the Rockets.
Pontiac 88, Olympia 59: Joey Murphy's 21 points and four steals led the Indians to an Illini Prairie win at Pontiac. Mike Davis added 16 points and five rebounds. Payton Amm and Ryan Weir contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Prairie Central 66, IVC 55: Trey Bazzell and Jake Crane each scored 16 points for the Hawks in their Illini Prairie Conference victory at Fairbury.
Delavan 62, Heyworth 42: Heyworth received 18 points from Colin McCubbins and 11 from Steven Bobsin in a nonconference loss at Heyworth.
Blue Ridge 55, Arthur-Lovington 48: Nick Burrow scored 22 points to lead Blue Ridge to the home win over Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond. Zach Stephens added 16 for Blue Ridge (14-14).
Dwight 74, Tri-Point 61: Logan Graham scored 20 of his 22 points in the first half for the host Trojans, who won their third straight. Dakota Wahl added 15 points and Colton Holm 12 for Dwight.
