Alexis Noonan led a balanced attack with 11 points Monday night as University High School cruised to a 54-20 first-round win over IVC in the Class 3A Morton Regional.
Abby Klein added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds for the fifth-seeded Pioneers (13-19), who face No. 4 seed Metamora at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals.
Grace Ward led U High in assists with four.
Prairie Central 54, Streator 26: Ellie Haberkorn netted 19 points to lead the Hawks to the win in the Class 3A Pontiac Regional. Hannah Austman added 11 points for Prairie Central, which advanced to face Washington in the semifinals on Wednesday. Lyniah Anderson had 10 points for Streator.
Mahomet-Seymour 54, Clinton 31: Maddie Stevens scored 12 points for the host Maroons (16-13), who bowed out in the opening round of the Class 3A Clinton Regional.
Danville 59, Bloomington 54: Seventh-seeded Danville made free throws down the stretch to edge eighth-seeded Bloomington in the first round of the Class 4A Bloomington Regional. No other information was available.
Danville meets second-seeded Normal Community at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals. Third-seeded Normal West faces No. 5 Bradley-Bourbonnais in the second semifinal at 7:30 p.m.
Flanagan-Cornell 64, Fisher 53: The Falcons raced to a 24-11 first quarter lead in a Heart of Illinois Conference makeup game at Fisher. Jeremy Durdan led Flanagan-Cornell with 24 points. Karson Kimpling added 14 and Tyler Harms 11.
Will Delaney paced the Bunnies with 18 points. Sophomore Carson Brozenec was 8 of 9 from the free throw line and added 14.
Roanoke-Benson 50, Ridgeview 45: The Rockets outscored the Mustangs 17-12 in the fourth quarter to grab a nonconference win at Colfax. Jack Weber scored 18 points for Roanoke with Jake Weber adding 12. Garrett Stevens led Ridgeview with 15 points. Levi Zimmerman added 15 points and eight assists.
Cornerstone 62, Lowpoint-Washburn 22: Junior guard Sam Patterson led Cornerstone with 12 points as the Cyclones cruised to an easy win at Bloomington. Cassidy Jean added 10 points with Zack Wolfe pulling down eight rebounds.
