Grant Kessinger gained 239 yards on 17 carries and scored three touchdowns as Olympia High School downed Pontiac, 47-14, in an Illini Prairie Conference football game Friday night at Pontiac.
Kessinger scored on runs of 53, 44 and 34 yards as Olympia rushed for 422 yards in improving to 3-3 overall and in the Illini Prairie. Quarterback Ethan Davis gained 115 yards on six carries with TD runs of 55 and 25 yards while completing 6 of 10 attempts for 78 yards and one TD.
The Spartans took a 26-14 lead after a wild first quarter. After a scoreless second quarter, the Spartans added 14 points in the third quarter to put the game away.
Pontiac (1-5, 1-5) was led by Brady Monahan with 87 rushing yards on 20 carries. Wyatt Griffith went 8 of 17 for 152 yards with TD throws of 37 yards to Petyon Cramer and 7 yards to Kodi Davis.
Prairie Central 33, SJ-Ogden 13: Kaden King rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns as Prairie Central pulled away in the fourth quarter for an Illini Prairie victory at Fairbury.
The Hawks (4-2, 4-2) took a 13-7 lead after three quarters before scoring 23 points in the final 12 minutes to outdistance the Spartans (4-2, 4-2). Jacob Niffen added 83 yards on seven carries, including TD runs of 51 and 1 yards, while Corbin Moser also had a 10-yard TD run.
Cooper Palmore led the Hawks with 11 tackles.
Fieldcrest 42, Deer Creek-Mackinaw 6: Matt Lorton passed for 375 yards and two touchdowns as Class 2A, No. 1-ranked Fieldcrest rolled past Deer Creek-Mackinaw at Minonk.
Lorton completed 20-of-34 passes. Jaxon Cusac-McKay had six catches for 105 yards and also scored on a 75-yard punt return. Tison Covington added four catches for 73 yards. Keegan Robbins also had four catches for 60 yards.
Kenton Castrejon led the Knights in rushing with 81 yards on 14 carries and scored touchdowns on runs of 1, 3 and 10 yards. Fieldcrest remained undefeated at 6-0 and is 3-0 in the Heart of Illinois Large Division.
Eureka 45, El Paso-Gridley 0: Aden Sears scored on a 3-yard run and also grabbed a pair of touchdown passes from quarterback Matt Martin, all in the first quarter, to kickstart the Hornets' HOIC Large Division win at El Paso.
Reuben Roberts also caught a pair of TD passes from Martin, who was 9-of-18 for 151 yards.
Leading rusher Hunter Gladson gained 158 yards on 15 carries and scored on an 8-yard run for Eureka (5-1, 2-1).

GCMS 22, Tri-Valley 7: Isaiah Chatman scored a pair of first half touchdowns to propel GCMS to a HOIC Large Division win at Downs. Chatman's scores came on runs of 11 and 18 yards to give the Falcons (5-1, 2-1) a 15-0 halftime lead.
After Payton Kean scored on a third quarter touchdown run of 13 yards, Tri-Valley (2-4, 1-2) got on the board with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Petrilli to Ty Baxter.
Aiden Laughery led GCMS with 88 yards rushing on 25 carries. Chatman added 86 yards on 10 carries.
Zander Woodring rushed for 86 of Tri-Valley's 90 yards on the ground. Petrilli completed 8-of-18 passes for 79 yards.
Tremont 22, Ridgeview-Lexington 13: Caiden Buster gained 146 rushing yards on 23 carries, including the clinching 6-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, as host Tremont earned an HOIC Small Division victory.
The Turks (4-2, 3-0) had 297 of their 409 yards on the ground. Nate Nguyen ran for 97 yards on 14 carries while scoring on a 4-yard run. Tyler Van Antwerp's 1-yard TD run gave Tremont a 16-13 halftime lead.
Jared Leake threw touchdown passes of 88 yards to Xavier Moore and 15 yards to Hunter Lane for Ridgeview-Lexington (2-4, 1-2). Grant VanWVickle was the Mustangs' leading rusher with 92 yards on 23 carries.
Fisher 29, Heyworth 23: Drew Purvis scored on a 5-yard pass from Will Delaney with 13.3 seconds remaining to lift the Bunnies to a Heart of Illinois Small Division win at Fisher. The Bunnies improved to 4-2 and 1-1 in conference play. Heyworth fell to 3-3, 1-1.
Peotone 33, Streator 14: Streator's Riley McCurdy returned the opening kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown in the Bulldogs' loss at Peotone. Streator also scored on a 2-yard touchdown run by Dominic Haws in the second quarter to give the Bulldogs a 14-14 halftime tie.
Quarterback Jimmy Tredway completed 19-of-32 passes for 191 yards. Trever Murphy had 10 receptions for 103 yards.
Decatur St. Teresa 42, Clinton 0: Host Clinton lost for the second consecutive week at Clinton.
