Senior Austin Norman rushed for 300 yards on 23 carries and scored three touchdowns as Pontiac High School cruised to a 49-0 victory over St. Thomas More in an Illini Prairie Conference football game Friday night at Champaign.

Gavin Bauknecht added 154 yards rushing as the Class 4A No. 9-ranked Indians improved to 7-1 overall and in the league.

Pontiac had 511 yards rushing and completed one pass, a 5-yard TD from Ben Schuler to Peyton Cramer in the second quarter for a 21-0 halftime lead over the Sabers (4-4, 4-4).

Norman scored on runs of 25, 28 and 10 yards, while Bauknecht tallied on runs of 15 and eight yards. Justin Grieff scored the game's final touchdown on a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Monticello 49, Prairie Central 20: In a battle of state-ranked powers, Class 3A's No. 4-ranked Monticello (8-0, 8-0) expanded on a 28-20 halftime lead to down visiting Prairie Central (6-2, 6-2), which is ranked No. 10 in Class 4A.

Prairie Central's Wyatt Steidinger rushed 12 times for 101 yards and one 28-yard touchdown in the Illini Prairie Conference contest. Teammate Collier Palmore completed 3 of 9 passes for 78 yards and a 21-yard TD pass to Corbin Moser. Palmore also rushed 18 times for 45 yards and a 1-yard TD carry.

Monticello's Braden Snyder completed 15 of 26 passes for 262 yards and five TDs. He also rushed for one score. He was intercepted once by Cooper Palmore. The Sages' Alek Bundy carries 16 times for 74 yards and one TD. 

Eureka 24, Fieldcrest 14: Matt Martin rushed for 122 yards on 23 carries and scored a touchdown as Eureka downed Fieldcrest in a Heart of Illinois Conference Large Division game at Eureka.

The Hornets (7-1, 3-1) took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on Martin's 30-yard run and Alex Brittain's 35-yard interception return. Asher Wiegand added a 2-yard TD run for a 21-0 halftime lead.

Fieldcrest (4-4, 1-3) closed the gap to 21-14 in the fourth quarter on Keegan Robbins' 25-yard pass from Tyler McKay and Michael Morse's 1-yard run before Cade Gold closed the scoring with a 23-yard field goal in the final minute.

McKay completed 14 of 24 attempts for 124 yards while Morse ran for 57 yards. Hunter Gadson added 68 rushing yards for the Hornets.

GCMS 63, EPG 6: Jared Trantina ran for four touchdowns and 164 yards as Class 1A No. 1-ranked GCMS rolled past El Paso-Gridley in an HOIC Large Division game at El Paso.

Trantina scored on runs of 4, 42, 5 and 56 yards in the first quarter while Payton Kean added an 8-yard TD run as GCMS built a 35-0 lead. The Falcons (8-0, 4-0) added two defensive scores in the second quarter when Josh Bleich had a 15-yard interception return and Bryce Barnes an 8-yard fumble return before Lance Livingston's 3-yard run put GCMS ahead, 56-0, at halftime.

Ryne Faulk, who had 19 carries for 84 yards, scored EPG's lone score on a 3-yard run in the third quarter before Aiden Langley closed the scoring with a 2-yard run for GCMS in the fourth quarter.

Tri-Valley 13, Dee-Mack 6: Zach Woodring ran for 186 yards while quarterback Jake Reeser scored two touchdowns in the second half as Tri-Valley slipped past Deer Creek-Mackinaw in an HOIC Large Division game at Mackinaw.

Dee-Mack (3-5, 0-4) took a 6-0 halftime lead on Zack Horve's 34-yard touchdown pass to Samu Ojanen. But Tri-Valley (5-3, 3-1) took a 7-6 lead in the third quarter on Reeser's 1-yard run and Bryce Bedillion's extra point kick. Reeser scored on another 1-yard run in the fourth quarter. Horve completed 11 of 18 attempts for 176 yards for the Chiefs.

Fisher 41, Ridgeview-Lexington 14: Tyler Wilson rushed 22 times for 181 yards and five touchdowns to power Fisher (7-1, 3-0) to a HOIC Small Division victory over Ridgeview-Lexington (3-5, 1-3) at Colfax.

Wilson scored on runs of 25, 11, 52, 4 and 1 yards. Will Delaney added 60 rushing yards for Fisher while Landen Stalter chipped in 55.

Tremont 41, FCW 0: Caiden Buster ran for three touchdowns and threw another as visiting Tremont blanked Flanagan-Cornell/Woodland in an HOIC Small Division game at South Streator.

Buster ran for touchdowns of 5, 1 and 1 yards and threw a 25-yard TD pass to Nate Nguyen. Tremont (4-4, 2-2) also got a 9-yard TD run from Nguyen. FCW dropped to 0-8 and 0-4.

LeRoy 28, Heyworth 7: LeRoy kept its playoff hopes alives as the Panthers (4-4, 4-0) beat host Heyworth (1-7, 1-3) in an HOIC Small Division game.

Clinton 35, Sullivan-Okaw Vally 0: Ty Berter threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as Clinton blanked Sullivan-Okaw Valley in a Central Illinois Conference at Sullivan.

Berter threw TD passes of 36 yards to Clayton Welch and 31 yards to Garret Wayne while running for a 1-yard score as Clinton (5-3, 3-3) built a 21-0 halftime lead. Tyrese Petty scored on an 11-yard pass from Berter and ran for a 17-yard touchdown in the second half.

Dwight 51, Hoopeston Area 0: Logan Graham sped to a pair of long touchdown runs and went of 1,000 yards for the season while sparking Dwight (5-3) to a nonconference win over visiting Hoopeston Area-Armstrong-Schlarman (2-6).

St. Joe-Ogden 28, Olympia 7: Matthew Cooksey's 4-yard run in the fourth quarter accounted for Olympia's only touchdown as the Spartans (1-7, 1-7) fell to St. Joseph-Ogden (5-3, 5-3) in an Illini Prairie Conference game at Stanford.

Mahomet-Seymour 14, Lincoln 0: Clay Hubble ran for touchdowns of 9 and 72 yards to lift Mahomet-Seymour past Lincoln in an Apollo Conference game at Lincoln. The Railsplitters (2-6, 1-5) were held to 55 yards of total offense.

Wilmington 27, Streator 0: Wilmington turned back Streator in an Interstate Eight Conference non-divisional game at Wilmington.The Bulldogs (2-6) had 128 yards of total offense with Riley McCurdy leading the way with 60 yards on 13 carries.
