Ryne Faulk ran for 271 yards and four touchdowns Friday night to lead El Paso-Gridley High School's football team to a 42-22 Heart of Illinois Conference Large Division victory over Deer Creek-Mackinaw at El Paso.
Faulk scored on runs of 4, 1, 23 and 30 yards as EPG improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the HOIC Large. Junior quarterback Zach Herr added 124 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Titans, who led 21-14 at the half.
Kaden Barth intercepted two passes for EPG in the first half. Dee-Mack (1-1, 0-1) was paced by Zach Horve’s 10 of 23 passing for 173 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted three times.
Caden Slack caught six passes for 122 yards and a TD for the Chiefs.
Tri-Valley 29, Fieldcrest 20: The Vikings scored in each quarter to claim an HOIC Large Division victory at Minonk.
Led by Zach Woodring's 163 yards and three TDs on the ground, Tri-Valley rushed for 331 yards. Woodring also caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jake Reeser.
Fieldcrest's Keegan Robbins scored for the second time this season on a fumble recovery, this time on a 48-yard return. Tyler McKay was 10-of-19 passing for 185 yards. Micah Hurd rushed for two touchdowns for the Knights.
Heyworth 53, Flanagan-Cornell-Woodland 0: Andrew Sims rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Hornets to an HOIC Small Division win at Heyworth.
Heyworth grabbed a 25-0 first quarter lead and held a 39-0 halftime advantage.
LeRoy 26, Ridgeview-Lexington 21: Jakob Sexton scored on a 26-yard run in the fourth quarter to lift the Panthers to an HOIC victory at LeRoy. Isaac Nava had 85 yards rushing and caught a 40-yard pass for LeRoy.

Morton 54, Streator 13: The Potters scored 26 points in the second quarter and led 34-6 at halftime en route to the nonconference win. Riley McCurdy had a pair of 3-yard runs for touchdowns to account for Streator's only scores.
Clinton 54, Pawnee 14: Tyrese Petty rambled for 201 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Maroons, who scored 44 first-half points in the win at Pawnee. Kolby Winter added 104 yards rushing and scored a pair of TDs.
Clinton quarterback Ty Berter completed 8-of-16 passes for 87 yards and a pair of scores.
Dwight 29, Westville 6: Logan Graham passed for one touchdown and ran for another in Dwight's home win over Westville. Graham had a team-high 88 yards rushing on 17 carries.
Carson Crouch added 78 yards in five attempts, while Jaylon Sims and Cal Schultz each had rushing TDs. The defense held Westville to 187 yards of total offense.
Mount Zion 13, Lincoln 3: Alex Bogdanic's 29-yard field goal in the third quarter accounted for Lincoln's points in the Apollo Conference loss at Mount Zion.
Sage Davis rushed for 193 yards on 26 carries for Mount Zion. Dreyden Pozsgai was 11 of 23 passing for 138 yards for Lincoln and also rushed for 62 yards on 11 carries.
