BLOOMINGTON — Twelve Pantagraph area players, including Pantagraph Player of the Year Daylen Boddie of Normal Community, will take part in the 45th annual Illinois Coaches Association Shrine All-Star Football Game on June 15 at Illinois Wesleyan’s Tucci Stadium.

Kickoff is at 11 a.m., with pregame festivities beginning at 10 a.m.

Boddie, a quarterback headed to McKendree University, will be joined on the East squad by NCHS teammate Reeves Wester, a lineman.

Also on the East roster are Fisher lineman Tanner Deiorio, Streator lineman Brandon Durdan, El Paso-Gridley running back Ryne Faulk, Fieldcrest receiver Derek May, Prairie Central lineman Jonah Miller, Central Catholic linebacker Patrick Namoff, Pontiac safety Eric Watson and GCMS lineman Hayden Workman.

Area players on the West are Normal West linebacker Garrett Rhode and Eureka linebacker Alex Brittain.

Head coaches are Derek Leonard of Rochester for the East and Alan Thorson of Morris for the West. Among the East assistant coaches is Brian Hassett of Streator, while Jason Bachman of Eureka will be an assistant on the West.

The game raises money for Shriners Hospital for Children, the official philanthropy of Shriners International. More information about scheduled events, along with rosters and coaches for both teams, can be found at www.ilshrinegame.com.

The estimated direct economic impact in Bloomington-Normal is $92,600.
