The Vikings are averaging 382.7 rushing yards per game with help from Braden Herrman (1,057, 16 TDs), Caleb Wilson (946, 14 TDs) and Peyton Roop (708, 9 TDs). … No. 9-seeded Argenta-Oreana’s losses were to Monticello, 20-6, and to No. 1-ranked Maroa-Forsyth, 49-15. FYI: This is the first playoff meeting between these schools. Second-seeded Mahomet-Seymour, ranked No. 9 in the AP state poll, faces a No. 5-ranked opponent, which carries the No. 3 seeding. The Bulldogs are coming off a 35-13 home win over Manteno while Alleman dispatched IVC, 41-0. … Mahomet-Seymour is led by Joe Kenney, who has completed 102 of 200 passes for 2,008 yards and 23 TDs. Tyler Francisco has added 1,043 yards at 7.7 yards per carry. Cully Day has chipped in 793 yards on 37 receptions. … Connor Doak leads Alleman with 628 yards on 120 carries followed by Kylee Dorsey (622 yards), Matt Hubbell (564 yards) and Kevin O’Keeffe (490 yards). O’Keeffe has completed 38 of 73 passes for 668 yards and seven TDs.
