Summaries from regional played Oct. 7

Turner, Liptak qualify: Ellen Turner of Pontiac and Liz Liptak of Streator were individual qualifiers in the Geneseo Regional at Maple Bluff Golf Course. Turner fired 85, while Liptak shot 88 to advance to Monday's Rockford Guilford Sectional at Ingersoll Golf Course.

Pontiac finished fifth with 383, five strokes behind third-place Moline. Galesburg won the team title with 352, while Ember Schuldt of Sterling was medalist with an even-par 72.

Class A

EPG wins on home course: Jessica Knepp shot 83 to take medalist honors and spark El Paso-Gridley to the EPG Regional title at El Paso Golf Club in Kappa.

Right behind Knepp were teammates Sydney Conway (89) and Katie Vance (98) as the Titans fired 385. Midland was a distant second at 466, while Olympia grabbed third (481) to advance to Monday's Rockridge Sectional at Highland Springs Golf Course in Milan. EPG's other counting score was by Casey Kearfott (115).

Area individual qualifiers were Derah Hohulin (95) and Jennifer Haywood (120) of Eureka; and Fieldcrest's Mackenzie Gensler (109).

Iroquois West's Clark advances: Kari Clark of Iroquois West shot 103 in the Watseka Regional at Shewami Country Club to advance to the St. Thomas More Sectional. Iroquois West finished fourth with 505.
