Class 1A Boys - Monday

Danville Schlarman Sectional

Where: Danville Country Club

Area teams: Blue Ridge, El Paso-Gridley, Fieldcrest, Tri-Valley.

Keep an eye on: Tri-Valley is coming off its first regional title in school history after winning last week at El Paso Golf Club. The Vikings are seeking their first state tourney appearance since 2004. 

Mercer County Sectional

Where: Hawthorne Ridge Golf Course, Aledo

Area teams: Eureka, Tremont.

Keep an eye on: Tremont won its first regional in five years last week at Greenview and hopes to earn its first-ever state tournament berth. 

Class 2A Boys - Monday

Lincoln Sectional

Where: Lincoln Elks

Area teams: Bloomington, Central Catholic

Keep an eye on: Central Catholic went to the Class 1A State in 2015 before being moved up. Saints senior Parker Wisdom, an Illinois State recruit, has been a Class 2A All-Stater the last two years. BHS hasn't qualified for state since 2004 and is led by sophomore TJ Barger, who qualified as an individual last year.

Lemont Sectional

Where: Broken Arrow Golf Club, Lockport

Area teams: Pontiac, Prairie Central

Keep an eye on: Prairie Central, paced by medalist Payton Dunahee, captured last week's Pontiac Regional. The Hawks' last state appearance came in 1999 when they shared the Class 1A crown.

Kaneland Sectional

Where: Hughes Creek Golf Course, Elburn

Area teams: Streator

Keep an eye on: Jacob Magana finished fourth individually in helping Streator place third in the Rock Falls Regional.  

Class 3A Boys - Monday

Edwardsville Sectional

Where: Sunset Hills Country Club, Edwardsville

Area teams: Normal Community, University High

Keep an eye on: U High, which finished third in last year's Class 2A State, was bumped up this year and won the Bradley-Bourbonnais Regional by three strokes over Normal Community. U High's Brevin Knight took second individually. NCHS attempts to get back to state for the first time since 2014.

Class 1A Girls - Monday

Pontiac Sectional

Where: Pontiac Elks Country Club

Area teams: Central Catholic, Dwight

Keep an eye on: Central Catholic seeks its fifth straight trip to the state tournament at Decatur's Red Tail Run Golf Club, led by sophomore Katie Steinman. Pontiac senior Ali Schrock is the defending state champion and fired 69 to win last week's regional by 11 strokes at Prairie Vista Golf Course. Other top area individuals are Pontiac freshman Dani Grace Schrock and Eureka sisters Carolyn and Allison Pacocha.

Auburn Sectional

Where: Edgewood Golf Course, Auburn

Area teams: GCMS, Tri-Valley

Keep an eye on: Tri-Valley edged GCMS by a stroke for second place in the regional at Rantoul's Brookhill Golf Course. GCMS qualified for state in 2010, while Tri-Valley has never advanced. Among area individual qualifiers are Jillian Sparks and Emma Winterland of Cornerstone Christian.

Class 2A Girls - Monday

Champaign Central Sectional

Where: U of I Orange Course, Savoy

Area teams: Normal Community, University High

Keep an eye on: Normal Community is coming off a regional championship as medalist Allison Enchelmayer paced the Iron past University High by three strokes at Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Course in LaSalle. U High was led by junior Lexi Onsrud's 79. NCHS and U High are both shooting for their third straight state appearances. Individual qualifiers include Normal West's Madison Bley and Bloomington's Brooke Grady, Madeline Christiansen and Jenna Lyle.
