Ali Schrock of Pontiac High School shot a 4-over par 75 Monday to win the Pontiac Invitational girls golf tournament at Pontiac Elks Country Club.
Schrock finished one stroke ahead of her sister, Dani Grace Schrock, and Reese Clark of Geneva. El Paso-Gridley's Makenna Parkhouse also finished in the top five, taking fifth with an 84.
Geneva won the team title with a 346 total. Pontiac was second at 395 and Prairie Central third with a 416.
Flanagan bests Pontiac: Kayla VanWeelden had seven kills, two blocks and a pair of aces to help Flanagan-Cornell to a 25-16, 25-12 win over host Pontiac. Madelyn Forney had 14 assists for the Falcons (11-6-1). Brooke Fox had five kills and Maddi Shark eight assists for Pontiac.
GCMS wins: Jessica Freehill had 10 kills for the Falcons in a 25-9, 25-9 win over Iroquois West at Gibson City. Payton Allen had five aces for GCMS (2-4). The Falcons also received 15 assists from Mady Schutte.
EPG stops Roanoke: Madi Funk contributed 14 kills and Sami Allen had 22 digs as El Paso-Gridley claimed a 25-13, 16-25, 25-18 win over Roanoke-Bemson at Roanoke. Ashlyn Stone had 12 assists for the Titans.
Paige Sauder had 10 kills, 10 service points and 18 assists for the Rockets, with Kamryn Kearfott also having 10 kills and Maddy Oltman 19 digs.
Prairie Central outlasts PBL: Prairie Central lost a marathon first set, 32-30, but rebounded to claim the final two, 25-16 and 25-11 to defeat PBL at Fairbury. Amber Graf had nine kills for the Hawks (12-4). Lexie Rieck added 16 digs and 11 service points with Merryn Krenz contributing 22 assists.
Hartem topples Tremont: Becca Olson had 10 digs and Alli Fuller seven assists and a block for the Turks in a 25-19, 25-18 nonconference loss at Tremont. Hartsburg-Emden was led by Anna Hayes with 12 kills and Grace Beekman's 16 assists.
Fisher prevails: Shelbee Owens had 17 kills to lead the Bunnies to a 25-21, 23-25, 25-18 nonconference win over Judah Christian at Fisher. Lauren Sommer added eight digs.
Rochester downs Wildcats: Normal West (7-2-1) dropped a 5-1 nonconference decision at Rochester. Parker Theobald had the Wildcats' goal with an assist from Clayton Davis. Rochester outshot West 13-6 and led 2-1 at halftime.
