Jordan Walker had three goals and one assist while teammate Parker Theobald chipped in two goals and three assists for the Normal West High School soccer team in a 9-0 victory over visiting Peoria High on Tuesday.

A Western Michigan recruit, Walker has 92 career goals, matching the total of fellow senior Nathan Clay of University High.

The Wildcats (8-2-1, 3-0-0) also received goals from Delphy Sabu, Victor Fuentes, Nick Cordero and Chris Alvarado. Other assists came from Adam Conrad, Sabu, Cordero and Alec McGinnis. Devin Beaty had one save as West outshot its guest, 26-1.

Clay lifts U High: Nathan Clay scored twice in the first half off assists from Camden Brown and Sam Moore to power University High (7-3, 3-0) to a 2-0 victory over visiting Jacksonville (6-2, 3-1).

The Pioneers outshot their guest, 8-2, as MacCallan Conklin made two saves.

Cornerstone lights up scoreboard: Moses Kabuswe knocked in six goals and Brian Matipa four in Cornerstone Christian's 10-3 victory over Roanoke-Benson.

Matipa also had three assists with Alec Anderson, Webby Phiri and Quinn Willard credited with one each.

Central downs Olympia: Mael Kazigwa had four goals and one assist to pace Central Catholic (3-4-1, 1-0-0) to a 9-1 victory over visiting Olympia (2-6, 0-1).

Kyle Vroman added three goals and one assist for the Saints, who also got goals from Wyatt Holloway and Daniel Naour. Other assists came from Zach Tomerlin, Michael Costigan and Jacob Torry.

Olympia, which was outshot 17-4, received a goal from Justin Sieberg.

NCHS shut out: No. 9 nationally ranked Peoria Notre Dame won, 4-0, over host Normal Community (6-1-4, 0-1-2). Noah Madrigal scored twice while Myles Sophanavong and McKay Lahood scored once each.

Ironmen goalie Matthew Wells made eight saves as his team was outshot, 12-2.

Blue Ridge tips Calvary: Colin Magenheimer scored on a Victor Reynolds assist to lead Blue Ridge to a 1-0 win over Calvary Christian at Farmer City.


U High dumps Jacksonville: University High improved to 14-4 overall and 4-0 in the Central State Eight Conference with a 25-7, 25-21 home win over Jacksonville.

Alayna Crabtree contributed seven kills, Logan Murray five digs and Macy Tongate 11 assists for the Pioneers.

NCHS outlasts Richwoods: Normal Community emerged victorious in a three-set battle with Peoria Richwoods at Peoria, 25-12, 23-25, 25-13, in Big 12 play.

Gladys Tungu topped the Iron (3-3, 1-0) with eight kills. Katie Gerig added 16 assists and Madison Feeney 14 digs.

Normal West falls: Dara Kane's 18 assists were not enough at Normal West (9-2, 1-1) lost to visiting Champaign Central, 25-18, 25-18. Carley Baughman had six kills and two blocks for the Wildcats while Sam Williams provided nine digs.

Eureka remains unbeaten: Eureka (10-0, 3-0) received nine kills and one block from Hailey Flowers in a 25-12, 25-7 victory over visiting Heyworth. Courtney Heffren had 17 services points, four aces and four digs for the Hornets while Amy Pineka had 14 assists. Kelly Swope led Heyworth with three kills.

Blue Ridge tops Ridgeview: Avery Fisher had 21 assists and Hannah Brackenhoff 11 digs for Blue Ridge (14-3) in a 25-15, 25-11 victory over visiting Ridgeview. Jessie Wanserski had seven kills for the Knights.

Tri-Valley rolls: Tri-Valley (9-4, 2-0) received nine kills from Alivia Larson, 24 assists from Riley Owens and 12 digs and five aces from Regan Danko in a 25-6, 25-6 Heeart of Illinois Conference triumph over Tremont.

Becca Olson had five digs and Emily Wendling two kills for the Turks (2-10, 0-2).

Flanagan prevails: Flanagan-Cornell defeated Fisher, 25-21, 25-11 in Heart of Illinois play at Flanagan. Kayla VanWeelden had nine kills and Madelyn Forney 11 assists for the Falcons.

Casey Wagner had 10 digs and Shelbee Owens six kills for the Bunnies.

Fieldcrest drops GCMS: Emma Peterson had eight kills and Lexi Jochums eight assists to pace Fieldcrest (10-0) to a 25-21, 25-15 victory over GCMS. The Falcons (2-5) received 14 assists from Mady Schutte and eight kills from Jessica Freehill.

EPG tops LeRoy: Madi Funk's nine kills and Ashlyn Stone's nine assists powered El Paso-Gridley (13-3, 3-0) to a 25-11, 25-19 victory over LeRoy (2-8, 0-3). Morgan Shreves had 12 digs and Megan Claunch five assists for the Panthers.

Olympia turns back Prairie Central: Rose McManaman had 13 kills and 13 digs for host Olympia (9-5, 1-0) in a 25-14, 25-19 victory over Prairie Central. Kalli Terrell added 11 kills and 14 digs for the Spartans while Kaelyn Leverson had 28 assists.

Clinton handles Bement: Clinton's Claudia Workman had seven kills, Delaney Woodbury 17 assists and Destiny Schlesinger 10 digs in the Maroons' 25-7, 25-10 win over Bement.

Dee-Mack trips Lexington: Deer Creek-Mackinaw ousted Lexington, 25-17, 25-16, behind seven kills from Addy Gruse, 12 assists from Morgan Burr and Kaitlin Creager's 10 digs.

Lexington received seven kills from Jayden Standish, 15 assists from Gracy Michal and eight digs from Skyler Friedmansky.

Mount Pulaski triumphs: Abigail Fitzpatrick had 15 digs and 10 kills for Mount Pulaski in a 14-25, 25-18, 25-11 victory over Decatur St. Teresa. Isabella Wade added 18 assists and nine digs for the Toppers.

Roanoke-Benson wins: Maddy Oltman registered 15 digs and nine kills in Roanoke-Benson's 25-12, 25-14 victory over Lowpoint-Washburn. Maddie Monge contributed six aces.


Fieldcrest 2nd at Eureka: Fieldcrest shot 168 to finish second in the six-team Birdhouse Open at Eureka where Peoria Christian, led by medalist Cole Cox (35), won with a 166.

Eureka and El Paso-Gridley tied for third at 175 while Heyworth was sixth (217). Fieldcrest's Clay Wells (37) and Nick Mariotti (38) were second and third.
