GCMS doubles up Pontiac: Kaiti Bowen had three hits, including a solo home run, and scored twice to lead Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (17-6) to an 8-4 nonconference win over host Pontiac. Regan Romshek (14-6) struck out six to get the win for the Falcons.
Courtney Gramley added two hits and three RBIs for GCMS. April Lynn and Jordy Cohlman each had three hits and an RBI for Pontiac (16-10).
Hartem cruises: Allisa Hoerbert singled, homered and drove in four runs as Hartsburg-Emden (7-18) rolled to an 11-1 win over Delavan at Hartsburg. Kelsi Ubbenga struck out six while holding Delavan to three hits.
Armstrong keys Bulldogs: Murphi Armstrong (15-4) allowed just two hits while striking out eight and drove in two runs to lead Streator (15-4) to a 4-0 nonconference win over IVC (16-9) at Chillicothe.
Iroquois West gets first win: Morgan Small allowed two hits and no earned runs while striking out eight to lead Iroquois West to a 6-2 win at St. Anne.
Dwight gets home win: Sarah Butterfield and Haley Gaston had three hits apiece to lead Dwight (19-7, 8-5) to a 12-6 win over Reed-Custer in an Interstate Eight Conference game at Dwight.
Fisher outlasts LeRoy: Rachel Kelley had three hits and scored twice and Kalli Gosser added two hits and crossed the plate four times to lead Fisher to an 8-4 win over LeRoy in a Heart of Illinois Conference game at LeRoy.
Spartans win slugfest: Olympia pounded out 21 hits, including a home run by Alissa Cross, to easily defeat Monticello 16-3 in a nonconference game at Monticello.
Dani Williams had four hits and three RBIs to lead the way for Olympia (26-3) while Klair Hartzold had three hits, two RBIs and four runs scored. Janelle Canopy also had three hits and two RBIs for the Spartans.
