The Bloomington Class 3A Regional semifinal between No. 2 seed U High and third-seeded Lincoln was suspended in the bottom of the sixth inning with the game tied 1-1.
The game will be picked up at that point at 4:30 p.m. today, with the winner to face BHS at 11 a.m. Saturday in the title game.
Streator holds on for win: No. 2 seed Streator jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings and held on for a 6-5 win as third-seeded Ottawa scored five times in the sixth in a Streator Class 3A Regional semifinal at Streator.
Payton Billups had three hits and drove in a run to lead the Bulldogs (19-9). Brynn Johnson added a pair of RBIs.
Murphi Armstrong (19-8) went the distance for the win, allowing one earned run on six hits while striking out four.
Mahomet-Seymour rallies for win: Ally Thornton’s bases-loaded double in the bottom of the fifth drove in three runs as the No. 2 seed Bulldogs (13-19) rallied for a 9-7 win over third seed Champaign Centennial in an Urbana Class 3A Regional semifinal.
The game was called after five innings because of rain.
