Team outlook: Normal Community Sectional champion University High is ranked No. 7, up from No. 11 last week, while sectional third-placer Peoria Notre Dame is No. 10. LaGrange Lyons is ranked first followed by New Trier and St. Ignatius.
Area outlook (seedings based on sectional marks statewide):
200-yard medley relay: University High (Andy Ritsema, Harrison Fudge, Colton Stogner, Anthony Williamson) (tie 4th, 1:33.95). In the sectional, this relay broke the Pantagraph area record of 1:34.17 set by U High in 2012.
200 freestyle: Williamson, U High (18th, 1:42.61). This senior, 20th a year ago, clocked a personal best in the sectional that ranks 10th in area history and fourth in school history.
200 individual medley: Justin Alderson, Metamora Coop (19th, 1:55.69). Only nine men in area history have gone faster than his 1:55.69. Only two sophomores were faster statewide in the sectionals.
50 freestyle: Stogner, U High (6th, 20.97). This Alabama recruit is closing in on his 2017 personal best of 20.72, which ranks second in area history behind the 20.51 clocked by Bloomington’s Shaun Wolfe in 2011. Stogner tied for fifth last year.
Ethan Lowder, Normal Community (tie 28th, 21.64). Only three sophomores statewide went faster in the sectional.
100 freestyle: Stogner, U High (5th, 46.14). Sixth a year ago, Stogner’s 2017 area record is 45.46. Top-seeded Parker Nolan of St. Ignatius went 45.13 in the sectional.

100 backstroke: Brett Spires, Pontiac (10th, 51.26). Thirteenth a year ago, this Michigan State recruit clocked a personal best in the sectional that ranks third in area history.
Ritsema, U High (18th, 52.04). The fifth fastest sophomore qualifier, Ritsema climbed to No. 7 in area history and No. 3 in U High history in the sectional.
100 breaststroke: Fudge, U High (17th, 58.27). In the sectional, this Wisconsin recruit tied his 2017 area record. He placed 15th a year ago.
Thomas Reedy, NCHS (28th, 58.71). Only one sophomore qualifier was faster than Reedy, who has climbed to No. 5 in area history. To get to No. 4, he’ll have to break Lance Bergmann’s 2013 school record of 58.50.
Alderson, Metamora (29th, 58.85). The third fastest sophomore qualifier, Alderson ranks sixth in area history.
Josh Nepomuceno, U High (38th, 59.39). In the sectional, this junior tied his personal best, which ranks ninth in area history.
Robby Pratt, Bloomington (39th, 59.51). One of six sophomore qualifiers in this event, Pratt came within .23 of also qualifying in the 100 butterfly with a 52.56.
400 freestyle relay: U High (Stogner, Ritsema, Nepomuceno, Williamson) (6th, 3:08.83). In the sectional, this unit posted the No. 5 time in area history and school history. The area and school record is 3:03.97 from 2014.
Athletes with disabilities: Trevor Tucci, Normal Community. For the fourth time, this senior has qualified in the 200 freestyle (4th, 2:46.20), 50 freestyle (5th, 38.14), 100 freestyle (5th, 1:19.84) and 100 breaststroke (3rd, 1:53.63).
