Moses Kabuswe and Ben Brander scored two goals each Friday to lead Cornerstone Christian to a 6-0 win over Calvary Christian in the first round of the Central Catholic Class 1A boys soccer regional at Bloomington.

Clay Damkoehler and Richard Phiri had the other goals for eighth-seeded Cornerstone, which advanced to meet No. 1 seed University High at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Sale Barn Field in Bloomington. Damkoehler had three assists, Brander two and Kabuswe one.

Cornerstone had 13 shots on goal to four for ninth-seeded Calvary. Cornerstone goalkeeper Isaac Garey made four saves.

U High stays unbeaten: Danny Cole scored three goals and Tyler Oitker had three assists as University High remained undefeated with an 8-0 win over Lincoln in the opening round of the Jacksonville Tournament.

Also scoring for U High (19-0-1) were Matt Napolitano, Nathan Clay, Alberto Testa, Cayden Redd and Mason Wittman. Testa and Clay contributed two assists each and Napolitano had one. The Pioneers, who led 6-0 at the half, meet Jackonville in the semifinals Saturday.
