MAHOMET -- The Mahomet-Seymour boys track team won eight events, setting records in three, in a runaway triumph of its own invitational on Saturday.

The Bulldogs compiled 178 points. Pontiac was second with 63 and University High third (60).

Colton Fender swept the hurdle events and Zach McClughen set a meet record in the triple jump. The Bulldogs also established new meet marks in the 400-meter and 1600 relay teams. Other winners were Luke Roush in the discus and Derek Bunch in the shotput.
