DUBUQUE, Iowa — J.D. Greenway scored at the 2:39 mark of overtime Friday night to lift the Dubuque Saints to a 4-3 victory over the Central Illinois Flying Aces in a United States Hockey League game at the Mystique Ice Center.
The game-winner came after the Aces forced overtime with a power play goal from Jeremy Davidson at 19:39 of the third period. Cal Kiefiuk had the assist.
Kiefiuk had scored two minutes earlier off assists from Davidson and Ryan Siedem as the Aces wiped out a 3-1 deficit after two periods.
Dubuque led 2-0 after one period, but Tate Singleton got Central Illinois on the board at 8:19 of the second period with his sixth goal Siedem had the assist.
Mitchell Gibson had 22 saves for the Aces, who play host to Dubuque at 7 p.m. Saturday at Grossinger Motors Arena.
