BLOOMINGTON — The Tri-City Storm scored two third-period goals Saturday night to defeat the Central Illinois Flying Aces, 3-1, in a United States Hockey League game at Grossinger Motors Arena.

Trailing 1-0, the Aces pulled even early in the third period on a goal by Philippe Lapointe off asssits from Colby Enns and Tyler Gratton.

However, Tri-City took the lead at the 11:57 mark on Connor McMenamin's goal. McMenamin added an empty net goal at 19:45 to close out the scoring.

The Storm had 32 shots on goal to 27 for the Aces. Aces' goaltender Ryan Snowden had 29 saves.
