BLOOMINGTON - Illinois Wesleyan senior Zach Freeman has been selected a third-team preseason All-American by d3hoops.com.
The 6-foot-7 Freeman averaged 16.2 points and 7.6 rebounds last season. He is IWU's lone returning starter.
North Central junior Anthony Simmons was part of the second team. Despite not playing last season for personal reasons, Wheaton sophomore Kent Raymond was picked to the fourth team.
Defending national champion Virginia Wesleyan, which defeated IWU in the national semifinals last season, has a first-team selection in Brandon Adair and a second teamer in TonTon Balenga.
